Books have to be heavy, because the whole worlds inside them...

Introducing........(drum roll please)
the "Inkheart" triolgy
By: Cornelia Funke

 Here's the story line from  Chicken House (the publisher);
Meggie loves stories, but her book-binding father, Mo, hasn't read aloud to her since her mother mysteriously disappeared. When a stranger knocks at their door, Mo is forced to reveal an extraordinary secret - as he reads aloud, words come alive, and dangerous characters step out of the pages. Suddenly, Meggie is living the kind of adventure she has only read about in books, but this one will change her life for ever.
Sound good? If that didn't sound good...here's a few of my favorite quotes from the books! The title of this post is also a quote from the books. NOTE; this is nothing really important from the book, so it will not spoil the book.
"Mo picked up the folder in which he kept his end-papers and leafed absentmindedly through them, 'every book should begin with attractive end papers,' he had once told Meggie, 'Preferably in a dark color; dark red or dark blue, depending on the binding, when you open the book it's like going to the theater first you see the curtain, then it's pulled aside and the show begins."
"If you take a book with you on a journey, an odd thing happens; the book begin collecting your memories and forever after you have only to open that book to be back where you first read it...it will all come into your mind with the very first words; the sights you saw in that place, what it smelled like, the ice cream you ate while reading it, yes books are like flypaper - memories cling to the printed pages better than anything else"
The "Inkheart" triology is seriously one of the BEST books I have EVER read!! If you're a book lover...I'm sure you will LOVE this book!!
Feel free to comment and share one of your favorite books! I love to try new things!
